Wide Mouth inhabits a hostile moon within the Teegarden system, an environment where life has evolved under extreme biological and environmental pressure. Its design emphasizes psychological threat, weight, and presence over speed, reinforcing tension during exploration and combat.

The creature was conceived to remain instantly recognizable in low-visibility environments, with a dominant silhouette and an anatomy optimized for intimidation and ambush rather than agility.
